Backup, iCloud and app lock
So nothing gets lost – and nobody looks in.
iCloud
Your projects, names, ratings and pictures are on the iPhone and end-to-end encrypted in your iCloud – as long as iCloud is on for Lumavra (iOS Settings › your name › iCloud). We cannot read them.
You see the status under Settings › Connected Accounts › Cloud storage, together with Sync now.
Automatic backup
On top of iCloud – for every account, Basic included:
- Settings › Connected Accounts › Automatic backup.
- Connect OneDrive or Google Drive, or Choose a folder in Files (a NAS or a USB stick, for instance).
- Lumavra backs up once straight away, then every time you leave the app – or right now with Back up now.
Each project becomes one .lumavra file. Nothing is ever deleted from the backup –
deleted projects move into its Deleted folder.
A folder “On My iPhone” is not a backup: it disappears with the app.
Restoring
- Reinstalled or a new iPhone: sign in with the same Apple ID – iCloud brings everything back.
- From the backup: Automatic backup › Restore, tap a project. It comes back as a new project. On a new device you may need to reconnect OneDrive or Google Drive or choose the folder again.
- A single file: tap a
.lumavrafile or use Import project.
Exporting
In the project Export – choose what to include (names and tags, ratings, AI lists, AI pictures) – Create file. The file is not encrypted: share it only with people you want to see it.
App lock
Settings › Security › Set up the app lock: a PIN of four to eight digits and, if you like, Unlock with Face ID. Lock automatically sets when it kicks in. Forgot your PIN? resets it with your iPhone passcode. The app lock is not backed up – after reinstalling you set it up again.
