Getting started

From the first launch to your first name.

Guest or account

Lumavra starts without signing in – you begin as a guest. As a guest you have one active project with up to ten names, but no AI and no automatic backup.

For the AI you need an account: Settings (your profile picture, top right) › Sign in with Apple › tick “I accept the Terms …” › Connect. Your guest projects move into the account – nothing is lost. For now, sign-in is with Apple only.

Your first project

  1. On Lumavra (home) tap New project.
  2. Enter a project name and, optionally, a description of what it is for.
  3. Under What is it about? choose the kind of name: baby name, pet, fictional character, creator identity, start-up or product, something else. This cannot be changed later.
  4. Create.

Creating, renaming, archiving and deleting projects needs the internet.

Name searches

Every name belongs to a search within your project – say “Name for the dog” and “TikTok handle” in the same project. With + › Find a name (AI) or Type in a name the app first asks what the search is called. The title helps the AI, so be specific. Continue a search continues an existing search.

Long-press a search to Rename or Clear search.

Without the internet

Lumavra opens offline too; “Offline mode” then shows above the tab bar. Your names and ratings work; the AI, purchases and signing in do not.
